SEO
Introduction
Search engine optimization affects public sites and aims to make sure that Google, Bing, and other search engines rank your content as best as possible within their search engines.
Out of the box
Out of the box, CareHubs follows Moz principals for the default platform. We use responsive design, canonical URLs, have meta titles and descriptions, and de-index pages that would rank poorly and/or negatively affect your ranking that we know about.
Site map
Each month, we submit an updated XML sitemap to both Google and Bing for your site.
Robots.txt
Your site has a Robots.txt in place that optimizes search engines ability to crawl your content. Learn more at http://www.robotstxt.org/ . If you wish, you have the ability to override your site's default robots.txt file with something custom. Please contact support if you are interested in taking this action.
Adjusting Your Robots.txt File
- From the Hub Dashboard, click on Site Options -> General -> SEO
- Make your adjustments in the Custom robots.txt field and save.
De-indexed content
We automatically de-index:
- Registration.
- Password Reset.
- Tag and Category archives.
- Member profiles.
FYI
SEO ranking relies as much on your overall organization brand and the content that you produce on your site. Our platform provides the tools and capabilities to execute on your digital SEO strategy, but success will ultimately depend on the management and content on the site. Again, we recommend reviewing Moz for a beginner's guide to SEO.
