Two-Factor Authentication
Introduction
For accounts with advanced permissions, we require two-factor authentication (2FA) during login. This is to ensure that your account is secured as strongly as possible and that it is you logging in.
What is 2FA?
The idea behind 2FA is that, along with your email address and password, you also provide something that only you have physically available to you. You can read in more detail about it here.
How it Works
We implemented platform 2FA with ease of use in mind for our users. With a wide demographic, ranging from very technical to very non-technical users, we didn't want to require a complicated or multi-step installation process. We're proud to say that our 2FA implementation requires no setup action from users and takes advantage of tools that you already use in your day-to-day work.
When logging in, after you provide your email address and password, we'll send you an email to complete the login process. All you have to do is click the verification link in the email to complete login into the site.
A few notes:
- The verification email is only valid for 10 minutes.
- You must open the verification link in the same computer browser that you used to login. If you try to open the link in a different browser, it will fail and you will need to start the login process over.
- Once verified, you won't need to complete 2FA in that browser for the next 30 days.
